Katie Fforde, Living Dangerously Quote

The setting is 2 middle aged friends at an aerobics class:

"After what seemed like hours, the steps were gathered in a corner and the five minutes of high-energy exercise began.  It was a killer.  Polly, who had discovered a clock in the corner, kept giving it sidelong glances and getting out of step.

"I'm not sure my bra is up to this", she panted, clutching on to its straps to lighten its load.  It was her Christmas bra and Polly was still washing it by hand in her bath.  She didn't want to over-extend it so early on its career.

"Never mind your bra" snapped Bridget, now quite red in the face.  "you haven't got stress incontinence to contend with."

"What the hell is that?"

"It's what happens if you have babies and don't do your pelvic-floor exercises."

Polly gulped and tried frantically to get back into rhythm.  Had she got a pelvic floor?  If she had, she certainly didn't exercise it."
